http://www.annablack.com/back-to-basic The Commodore 64 is one of the most versatile and succesful micro computers ever created. In the coming months I’ll be illustrating it’s continuing usefulness with some fun, and interesting projects. I hope not to set fire to myself in the process

That’s sweet! A Commodore 64c with matching 1541 disk drive. I’ve got one of these in my personal C64 collection.
As for setting yourself on fire, I would suggest first don’t do it
and second, not using the original power supply and getting a modern switching power supply to use with your C64. The original ones tend to spike once in a while. If anything, be sure it’s not sitting on carpet, but maybe a little piece of wood or cardboard so it can get good air circulation.
I see you’ve got The Last Ninja fired up… what fun! You’ve inspired me to go play a C64 game now.
Modern Switching Power Supply?
I’m in need of a new PSU for my old C64, where does one find these items?
@FunkyM: Indeed, modern switching power supply. I personally use the Phoenix CPS-10 from Phoenix Electronics Inc. You can find them on eBay or possibly on some vendor websites. They are a little expensive, maybe $30.00-$40.00 USD, but they run cooler, they can be repaired unlike the C64 brick power supplies and they will provide better and cleaner power to your C64.
Is that the version of Last Ninja 2 that came with “FREE SHURIKEN!”
Egads I feel myself welling up remembering playing that game when it came out and persevering past each level mainly to hear what further Aural wonders Matt Gray had in store
Street loader, first level loader + main level tune FTW
Sounds intriguing Anna, look forward to further reading!
Looking forward to reading the articles!
Cheers,
